Bicycle First Aid Kit Review and Giveaway

bicycle first aid kit review & giveaway

We go on a fair amount of trips in our household which is great fun. The boys and my OH have been increasing the distance in their bike rides and I’ve been pretty blown away by how far they are managing to go on their boys outings. I’m not a massive lover of riding so that’s normally when I get in a bit of blogging time. Saying that, when we went to center parcs I loved it because I had an electric bike and the difference it made was amazing and I loved every second.

I always pack a first aid kit in the car so that I’ve got the essentials on hand should I need it. With my 2 boys there is often the odd graze, cut or sting to take care of.

I’ve never seen or had a bicycle first aid kit though. It was great therefore to try out these first aid kits from SJ Works specifically for attaching to bicycles and putting family first aid as the priority.

Aswell as being able to show you how good they look and to give our first hand opinion, I also have one of the saddle first aid packs to giveaway! You can see how to enter further down the post.

Bicycle first aid kit

Now as some of you may be aware, my OH has got a big trip coming up in the new year that will see him going off to New Zealand for a few weeks and spending quite alot of time on different cycling treks. He’s even taking his bike from here in the UK over with him so he’s pretty committed. I don’t think that my electric style of biking would go down too well over a long period and this is something for him to get out of his system while I will probably be doing something far more sedate like spa days and girly lunches!

He will be taking the saddle pouch first aid kit with him on his trip which gives me peace of mind. Him too but he’s far too butch to let on that much. Since it will deal with most minor first aid needs it is ideal to have on the bike. It’s better to have and not need than to deal with an accident and be left kicking yourself for not putting it on.

There is so much included in this SJ Works saddle pouch kit. Including:

1pcs An empty saddle bag

  1. My son is always on his bike and always needing to fix it – so would be perfect

  2. We regularly cycle the 5 mile trip between us and the inlaws house! Perfect for scrapes and flicked up stones!

  3. I think a first aid kit is essential to have with us on all trips but especially remote places in the countryside!

  4. It would be used when my husband takes the children on bike rides. Especially as the youngest is totally accident prone something like this is needed

  5. This would be usefull for when we go cycling in our local forest as we often suffer accidents and wounds.

  6. My teen boys go off cycling together and this would be ideal for them on one of their trips.

  7. We cycle often as a family, especially when we go camping, so this would be great for those trips.

  8. My little boy has recently learnt to ride without stabilizers so there may be trouble ahead….

  9. Perfect for those family cycle rides along the Thames Path down by the river…where there are no pitstops to be had 😉 x

  10. This would be great for when we go on our family cycling trips in the North East. Our favourite spots are Hamstely Forest, Kielder Reservoir, Rothbury and The Coast & Castles Cycle Route (NCN Route 1). Lots of other places we explore as well as more sedate rides along the side of the Tyne following the Hadrians Way (NCN Route 72) from home to Newcastle and onto Tynemouth.

  11. Mountain biking – If bicycle repair man ( Michael Palin – Monty Python) wasn’t available

  12. When we go mountain biking, one of the boys invariably tries something out of their reach and hurts themselves.

  13. My husband is a daily cycle commuter and this weekend did a weekend cycle challenge which involved 95 miles the first day and 76 the second. He came home safe and sound (and pretty exhausted) but there were others with scrapes and cuts of varying degrees. Its nice to know something like that exists as he doesn’t always have his rucksack with him.

    1. The traditional first aid kit is hard to hang on the bike when we going out, and sometimes the emergency happens in the outdoors, lacking the first aid resources outdoor would be the number one problems that people can not get the right treatment at the right time. that’s why SJ WORKS design those series bicycle first aid kit, to help people get out outdoor emergency close on hand. Importantly, have peace of mind in those situations.

  14. we love our walks over cannock chase, with 6 children were always in need of first aid!

  15. Anywhere we go with the bikes in fact it’s usually me that falls off.

  16. This would come in handy on our family cycling trips either locally or when on holiday

  17. we have been cycling alot during the hoildays! it was me who came of only stratches though x

  18. Would love to win this prize for charity, to go to Romania for those who cannot afford first aid supplies

  19. We have recently all got bikes but I think I’m the most likely to fall off! On a trip to the beach.

  20. This would be super when we cycle the Cattleman Trail in Dorset which can get rather rough in places!

  21. We go cycling to the park and woodland so this would be very useful for those family visits as well as occasional commuting rides.

  22. This would be great for when we go over to the Isle of Arran on holiday – daily bike rides through the valleys and around the coastline!
