There are so many great recipes to use Prosciutto di San Daniele and Grana Padano in. For our supper we sat round our table at home and as you can see from the photos above, we enjoyed the food in a simple clean manner which let the flavours come through naturally. We accompanied the meal with fresh tomatoes drizzled with balsamic vinegar and some basil from our windowsill plant and some fresh bread. It was delicious!

I have also devised this recipe which is for our meal this weekend which is here below and I cant wait to serve up…enjoy!

What you will need is:

100g Prosciutto di San Daniele

30g Grana Padano

200g Fresh pasta such as Pappardelle

45g Lightly toasted pine nuts

Olive oil

Saucepan, pasta drainer, large bowl for serving and finally, a good appetite!

This is an amalgamation of the ingredients so cook your preferred pasta until al dente or to your own personal taste. Drain and place in your large serving bowl. Tease out the strips of Prosciutto di San Daniele and gently work through the pasta. Sprinkle over your toasted pine nuts, trickle olive oil over to give a glossy finish and lastly be generous with the Grana Padano cheese. Serve up hot and steaming – Buon Appetito!

  1. OOOH either, but if I had to pick one: one its own would just about win. Thanks for the chance.

  2. Sort of on its own… it’d be delicious with Mediterranean seeded bread with real butter…. oofftttt yummy

  3. Both! I buy them for cooking but if it’s in the fridge I can’t help but have a wee nibble.

  4. It’s absolutely gorgeous on its own but I find that I want to eat far too much of it, so if we use it in pasta everyone gets a little bit and there’s still quite a bit left over for later.

  5. Both ! I usually would eat on it’s own, I’ve never tried it with pasta and it sounds great

  6. Both are awesome ! Sometimes I just want to indulge myself with prosciutto and a glass of wine and other times I enjoy pasta on the side and yes! a glass of wine LOL 🙂
