Five of My Favourite 2016 Moments ….So Far

2016 has been a great year so far, I wanted to take a snapshot of 5 of my favourite 2016 moments. Some of those things that I wanted to celebrate and share what has made us happy.

I realised when I started writing that actually there are many many more…this could easily be a weekly post! But here are just a few to start with.

It’s a year for roses and the other day my eldest son ‘M’ and I went around each of our roses and spent time to smell the scent of the different types. The look on M’s face as he really took to the moment was pretty incredible. The experience struck me as I was stood there with him and I am so thankful to have this beautiful memory. The garden has been a great source of fun and relaxation. Little ‘G’ also did his first vlog outside.

AFC Bournemouth brings joy to all of us, the club had its first year ever in the premier league and its rags to riches story was well publicised when they went up. As a family we have been attending for years and even have a brick on the ‘cherry brick road’ at the front of the club. For us it’s a family affair with 3 generations attending our home games as season ticket holders. The great crowd and friends make it a very special club.

My birthday ring from Tiffany & Co! I was so so pleased to receive this gorgeous ring which I had hoped one day would come my way. My partner brought it for me and  I love it!

Burns night at mine with the girls – we had such a great evening and threw ourselves into celebrating this great Scottish tradition. I love spending time with my girlfriends and letting our hair down. I feel blessed to have such great friends and family.

Enjoying our holiday to Spain with the boys and my mum. We’ve found a great place to holiday that suits all of our needs and we enjoy having this trip together year after year.

Thats a few bits and bobs which spring to mind. Mainly we are lucky that all of us are fit and healthy and are together enjoying the year and all that it throws at us.

How are you enjoying your year so far?

  2. Well done on picking just five fav moments! What a nice positive post. Love the cool photo from your Spanish holiday! Brilliant. Think my five fav moments are seeing my husband take a positive turn after being quite poorly (we had a rough start to 2016). 2. Seeing Baby Munch love her time at nursery when I went back to work 3. Seeing the girls have fun cuddling eachother as part of the bedtime routine (basically rough roll around wrestling cuddles on the floor!) 4. 4. You’ve had an excellent year so far by the sound if it. Time spent with friends and family should be treasured, as it doesn’t come often enough, and there’s often wine involved. I hope you had a brilliant holiday to Spain this year. We went at the start of June which was our first family holiday abroad and had a great time. I’m looking forward to hearing about the next half of your year. Thanks so much for linking up at #fortheloveofBLOG. Claire x

    1. Oh my, another hammers supporter, I’m surrounded by them. You always do pretty well. Bmth have had a change around but we’ve still got our Eddie so we’ll be OK fingers crossed….it’s only a game??

  10. You’ve had a great year so far. I love the fact that you take the time to enjoy the small things (smelling the roses) as well as enjoying the big things (a tiffany ring). Pen x #KCACOLS

  11. What a beautiful ring, it is so elegant and pretty! It sounds like you’ve got lots of lovely things and memories to cherish from 2016 already. It’s great that you note down everything too so you can look back and remember all these precious moments. I don’t know how I feel about 2016. It’s neither good nor bad for me but I am very grateful to have things in life that others take for granted. Thanks for sharing your special things #KCACOLS

  12. I love roses – the children and I always stop to smell them in people’s front gardens as we walk around the local area. We don’t have any in our garden though – I always thought they took a bit of knowhow to take care of that I don’t possess! It sounds lovely to smell their different scents together.

  14. It’s the little things which make life so beautiful isn’t it! Pray tell though – where’s your secret little Spanish spot that ticks all your boxes? It’s great when you find somewhere like that isn’t it, it allows you to totally relax both before and during the holiday because there’s no need to expect the unexpected! #KCACOLS
