Ultimate Chocolate Brownie Recipe

Who fancies a brownie? If you are nodding away because you love them or if you are searching for that perfect ultimate chocolate brownie recipe then well done, you’ve just found it!

This Ultimate Chocolate Brownie Recipe produces brownies which are firm on the top and soft and almost chewy in the centre. Perfection itself!

They are also on the easy scale of baking so they can be whipped up very easily.

I use any excuse to get out my food mixer but these can very easily be made with a good old-fashioned wooden spoon.

When you have combined all the ingredients using the recipe below you spoon it into a baking tin up to around an inch high.

Recipe Notes

These are lovely and rich so a jenga stick sized portion is plenty.

When it comes out of the oven you are faced with this wonderful slab of chocolate brownie. You then cut into pieces with a sharp knife and stack them up like jenga pieces for some fun.

Take Control Of Your Teeth

Believe it or not, you are not alone. Millions of adults have dental problems or are missing at least one tooth. There are also those who cannot afford the treatment in their own country or their insurance does not cover it. However,  you should not avoid meeting your friends or smiling as there is a simple solution to that problem – affordable dental treatment abroad.
Online searches show that many people are more interested in travelling abroad for dental treatment than getting a loan. While visiting another country for a dental procedure, you can also take a short break from everyday life and work.

take control of your teeth

Recently scientists from many countries have reported that there has been a rise in many dental problems. With meals and chemicals in them, our teeth are getting weaker and weaker. Without proper care, your teeth might become even weaker. Local dentist’s have busy schedules, but despite that they recommend undergoing the best available treatment, give advice and treat patient’s sick and weak teeth. Sometimes however a solution might be a little more tricky, but never unsolvable.

Dental implant treatment in Turkey is one of the best solutions when restorative procedures aren’t covered by your insurance or are too expensive. The best way to find out more about Turkish dentistry and clinics is to simply do your own in-depth research,  search online, check out medical or local forums, ask friends, colleagues or neighbors who have undergone dental treatment in Turkey and can share their opinions.

Many European countries offer high-quality dental implant treatment, but the prices of procedures  might be uneconomical. Turkey is different. Professional Turkish dentists and oral surgeons offer lower prices with top-notch treatment that you won’t be disappointed in.  Dido you know, that international patients who have dental implants in Turkey, might save up to 70% on their dental bills?

On top of that, you can discover Turkey for yourself by visiting the beautiful capital, Ankara. You can also enjoy traditional music, culture and food, visit the amazing and famous Hagia Sophia (a basilica museum with mosaics), Pamukkale (thermal spa terraces), Hierapolis ruins, Istanbul (a historic city straddling Europe and Asia), Antalya, where beautiful and sunny beaches are located and Tophaki Palace (historic Ottoman-era palace complex).

Take control of your life and start living again!

Naipo Massagers Review and Giveaway

Two great products and a fab freebie in my Naipo Massagers Review and Giveaway

After a long day in our house there are many times when we are aching and seeing who can get in their requests to the other one to rub shoulders, feet or backs. Even the boys with their hectic sports and playing have times when they pull muscles and are feeling the effects of not stopping.

My big treat once in a while is to go for a massage, it’s not cheap and only booked occasionally but I love it, there is nothing better than having that time that the phone is off, music is on and someone else is looking after me.

Of course that isn’t the normal day to day routine so I have got two products to show you that can help out! I was asked to have a look and see what I thought of these two handy massagers and I love being able to tell you what I think.

Naipo Cordless Handheld Massager

Naipo Massagers Review and Giveaway

This Naipo cordless massager is rechargable and has 5 speed levels so that you can choose what is right for you. Sometimes the top speed can be a little intense if you want a light massage so it is great that you have the choice of what you need.

Naipo Massagers Review and GiveawayI found that it charges quickly and being cordless it isn’t clumsy in taking anywhere around the house and you don’t have those trailing cords which I find so annoying. For those people that go away on activity holidays it’s ideal. This year we did exactly that with all the children. It was amazing but exhausting and I wish that I had this then because it would of been ideal! There are interchangable heads which can be used depending on the level and type of massage you require at the time.

This normally retails here at £34.99 I have for you lucky readers a promotion code for a whopping 20% off. Just use at checkout by popping in the code: NQEZ4UA3 and you will have 20% deducted from your purchase.

Naipo Neck Pillow Massager

Naipo Massagers Review and Giveaway

The Naipo Neck Pillow Massager is a small, easy to transport heat massager that can be used at any time of the day. You can easily take this to work and use without it having any impact. I sit a desk for some of my work day and I’m sure that my posture isn’t the best and it adds to all sorts of tweeks and shoulder pain. With this being so portable I can use this at work with little impact on what I am doing.

Studies into stress suggest the meaningful, positive results achieved by using massage. It’s not just the relief of tight and painful muscles across our body but also the mental relaxation we can find when we are looking after ourselves. It’s good to take the time sometimes and not just look at our ‘to do’ lists and plough on regardless.

Eat well, look after ourselves and take the steps needed to maintain being healthy are all factors I think add to reducing the negative effects of being so busy. Ordering online takes a massive weight off of my shoulders and that’s another benefit of ordering these massagers for me.

So here’s what you can expect to have when it arrives; 1 x Pillow massager 1 x Wall Adapter 1 x Car Adapter plus a user manual

Another 20% discount code is available and can be used for this neat little massager. Use code: MMB2BWIQ at the checkout which will discount off the normal RRP of £27.99.

You can visit the team at their facebook page where they have so much information on well being, it’s a great resource. Bumper Giveaways Christmas Gift Guide – Part 3Naipo Care

TowelUP

Bumper Giveaways Christmas Gift Guide – Part 3

TowelUp© is the brainchild of  Hannah who was fed up of her towel falling down every time she walked from the shower to the wardrobe, simple as that!  It has taken much research, time and effort to create what she hopes is a solution to that problem for men, women and children alike.

Bumper Giveaways Christmas Gift Guide – Part 3

Bumper Giveaways Christmas Gift Guide – Part 3Have you ever been caught short with your towel falling down? I never used to worry about this when I was young free and single but as I’ve grown up and either shared houses or been travelling it became a bit of a thing that I didn’t want to be worrying about. Yes, you can wrap it round you and tuck it in but there is always that risk of it falling!  TowelUp© will keep your towel securely in place for as long as you need it to and costs just £3.99 for one or £6.99 + P&P.  It simply slides over where you wrap your towel around you body and hey presto you are ready to move around! These are great for stocking fillers and they are a really different present to give.

Sweet Hearts

Bumper Giveaways Christmas Gift Guide – Part 3

Lice are a hazard of the children going back to school in my experience so it’s good to see products that can help out with that. Also when my son was alot smaller he had longer hair which goes beautifully and curly the longer it gets. With the 2 in 1 – Detangler & Head Lice Defence Spray you can use it for detangling and styling. If your child does then come into contact with an infested head, the strong head lice repellent will deter them from even thinking about spreading. The detangler and head lice spray has Fragonia, Neem and Tea Tree oil which puts of the bugs but doesn’t smell horrid like some can.

The SweetHearts Hair Detangler Spray has been created by Beth Belshaw alongside Denise McGowan of Evanji to make a detangler that is soft enough to be used daily, yet leave hair feeling light and shiny. It is made from ethically sourced ingredients and is free from synthetic chemicals & parabens. Sweet hearts hair design have a strict no animal testing policy so you can rest assured when you are buying them that this has been upheld.

Pre Empty Nest Syndrome? Is this what I have?

Not quite a teenager and not a little boy content with running up to his mummy and back. My little boy is growing up and I’m finding it hard.

When I saw my eldest son ‘M’ for the first time, it took my breath away. The moment is always with me and I look back and talk about it whenever I can….here with you, with the kids and with my friends. The feeling was no different with my second boy ‘G’. I’ve always had a strong drive to keep both of my boys safe and a bit wrapped up in cotton wool. Those that know me would nod along now and hopefully smile in recognition as I’m probably the most over protective of the lot. I’ve heard of empty nest syndrome but never pre empty nest syndrome….my babies are still at home, just growing up.

empty nest syndrome
‘M’ aged 4….he’s 11 now. Oh how time has flown.

As my eldest reaches towards 12 I am having a few moments when I struggle with him taking that next step towards teenagehood and being more independent. I think maybe it’s because it’s the start of another school year and so many different questions….and behaviours have begun to show.

The reluctance by him to spend as much time with me has been something to get used to. Having him want to spend time alone, chatting with his friends without wanting me around is something new.  I love it so much, that he’s growing up and he has lovely friends who all get on and laugh at their own in-jokes. However, I’m now looking on at this and not instigating it. It’s not created by me – for him…..I’m not included as much, wow, when did this happen? I’m starting not to be the only big thing in his world. It’s a bit of a shock!

empty nest syndrome
He looks alot different now but I couldn’t resist these of when he was smaller.

The full on unashamed spontaneous hugs have also started to fizzle out, when they do come it’s magical and I crush him in my embrace. He does that ‘ok mum’ and giggles, knowing that I will undoubtedly now ruffle his hair which he has just preened and styled to an inch of its life.

My rational side knows that I am proud of what we have achieved. This is what I have been preparing him for so why does it give me a lump in my throat even writing about it?

I know that being a parent is to nurture and care for our young and I realise that they are not to be owned by us. We have to prepare them and set them on their own unique path. I hadn’t realised until now that the notion of this would be so hard, I had been in the caring role for so long.

It’s all such a learning curve being a parent. I’m always amazed at the different emotions it brings.

Am I alone or is this normal or even normal-ish? Do you ever get these feelings?

Flight Experience Simulator Review and Giveaway

During half term we all had a great day out in London. The boys have been working really hard at school and we wanted to have a family trip out to do something different.

A trip on the train is really the way to do it as far as I’m concerned to get up to london, it’s so nice not to have to drive and worry about the other traffic, stopping because someone wants the loo or bad weather making it a more stressful trip. On the train I can relax, have a cup of tea and we can all stretch our legs if we need to.

We had a real treat in store for us as we were invited as guests to try out the Flight Experience™ in Putney.

Flight Experience Simulator Review and Giveaway
My other half and the boys with our pilot Paul

Flight Experience™ was the original flight simulator business to ‘open the cockpit to the world’. They are the world leader in flight simulation entertainment. The simulators are built to an extremely high standard using the latest technology in both hardware and software and in fact are used by flight schools, universities and airlines for actual pilot training. They are approved by many aviation regulatory authorities around the world.

We were warmly welcomed by Paul and Nick into the spacious reception where we watched the 6 minute information video before our experience. My OH would be taking charge of the controls and the boys and I were going to be the passengers. It was all really exciting. Scenic flights start at £109.00 and there are many different packages to choose from. The fly and dine looks great for a special occasion.

Flight Experience Simulator Review and Giveaway
Sitting back taking in the information video before the flight
Flight Experience Simulator Review and Giveaway
Taking our seats!

One of the attractions for us was that we could all be part of the flight. The boys and I could go into the simulator and sit in the back of the cockpit being part of the whole thing. To fly the simulator there is a guide age of 14 and height of 5ft 1′ (155cm)

Flight Experience Simulator Review and Giveaway

Our pilot Paul took us through all the procedures needed to understand what was going to happen and what would happen during the flight. This really is as near as you are going to get to being a real pilot. The cockpit is an actual Boeing 737 twin-engine commercial aircraft. As you can see from the pictures there are so many switches, lights and aircraft paraphernalia that it is very high-tech and had the boys and I enthralled.

On our trip we took off from Heathrow (with us giggling with excitement in our seats) my other half concentrating fully and taking instruction from our pilot. We were suddenly hearing all the terms you would imagine such as ‘thrust off’, ‘spoilers’ and ‘altitude’. After flying through the sky he landed us safely back in Heathrow, to a hearty round of applause. We then were treated to a slightly more tricky  landing coming into Hong Kongs Kai Tak airport which is now closed but was the international airport in Hong Kong from 1925 to 1998. It is known for its dramatic landing over the densely populated Kowloon area onto the runway jutting out into Victoria harbour. It was said to be one of the ultimate tests of a pilots skills and we did it! The graphics on the simulator as brilliant and clear, giving a realistic view of your outside surroundings. We loved it and I can highly recommend it for a gift, day out for yourself or the family.

You can actually win one in my giveaway here today. Such an amazing prize and I’m so pleased to be able to offer it to you today. Enter in the rafflecopter below.

Kartegraphik

Bumper Giveaways Christmas Gift Guide - Part 1

Kip Perdue is a paper cutting artist based in South London, England. He has one of the best websites at Kartegraphik I have seen in a long time. It takes you on an informative journey through his artists mind and evokes a wonder in his beautiful creations. Kip produces wonderful cut out maps. These maps are perfect for gifts at Christmas and I’m very pleased that they are the first of this years products to be featured. I commissioned a map of Bournemouth Gardens because when my other half and I had our first date we went on the Bournemouth balloon which was tethered there and offered flights which overlooked the town. To have that experience where we saw the town from the sky and then to have this intricate and cool artwork is another piece of our own history mapped on our wall.

The map is the best of both worlds, a quick, customisable, and above all personal gift! The map is a one square mile map, so it is centred upon a specific location and will be cut to show one mile from that centre point.

Bumper Giveaways Christmas Gift Guide - Part 1The gifts are reasonably priced and so unique that they are something that will always get people talking and commenting. People won’t be trying to remember what you bought them a few years ago, it will instantly come to mind. Furthermore it shows thought, and everyone likes to feel special.
